im told that most parts from a polo will fit on my 97 felicia does anyone know how true this is cos its much easier to get snazzy bumpers for a polo than the skoda????

No, that is complete rubbish I'm afraid. Very few parts are actually shared between the 2 cars, and bumpers certainly aren't compatible.

the old fable "it's a vw polo underneath" is a pure myth..... it's based on the favorit... although they did use vw engines on some of the models

Yep, the steering wheel really is just stolen from the Polo/Golf.

The 1.6 petrol and the 1.9D are lifted straight out of the Polo, but as Tom says, they are essentially based on the Favorit.
