Hey Guys,

as many will know i recently posted a thread regarding the poor fuel economy in my M reg Favorit.

well firstly thank you all and i now have some figures to gain some feedback from you guys. I now get this after having the sensor changed to determine how much fuel should be sucked in.

My M-reg Favorit estate averages around 37mpg on daily commuting / shopping. All short trips under 6 miles, with a very occasional longer A & B road round trip of about 30 miles. Replacing a ridiculously worn timing chain made no difference to the MPG at all...

well with fuel costs today it costs

All of the 5 Favorits I've had over the years got between 300 and 350 miles on a full tank with varied driving, so as I said, nowt to worry about.

as new isnt really a requirement i shouldnt think! i averaged 48mpg in my glxie estate over 800 miles on a trip to england last year...

Sounds good :). Maybe I should try make some effort to calculate my MPG more accurately. Only problem is my mileometer occasionally getting stuck. I can't keep my eyes on it mile after mile to check :)
