Ok just got my panel filter today for the vrs, always used piperx before so was surprised to see a slighty different design of filter! ? my last one on my mk4 golf had red foam at the top and a deep black vortex foam on the bottom, this one however has a small flat layer of black foam and a cream colour top foam with the words pipercross in it in red! My question is are they all like this for the vrs????:confused:

Ok well seems like it's ok checked the part no with pipercross website and it's the same just thought it would be same design as the golf.

Pipercross revised their foam spec for engines using certain MAF sensors so the filters don't need oil.

The white with grey foam is the newer type and should be installed without oiling.

I do 50k per year too

I have just done the PD160 intake too , worked a treat
