Best price on SE VRS???

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I enquired regards the availability of a Fabia SE VRS today at my local dealer and was offered what seems like a fair discount, but I'd be interested in comparing it to what others have so far managed to achieve.

Would anyone be willing to spill the beans on what they ending up paying either on the thread or via pm so that I can begin to put things into perspective?

Many thanks.

Just ordered mine today, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my dealer informed me that there were very few available. hardly any for sale.

Being nosey I drove past grimsby docks where the cars were stacked (working nearby) and I can honestly tell you that there are next to none left.

GRAB THEM WHILST YOU CAN MATE....

I see em leaving grimsby all the time, they must be running low.

YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT WHEN THEY ALL ARRIVED INTO ENGLAND WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was taking a flying lesson and I flew over grimsby docks.

all you could see was a large patch and i mean LARGE patch of bright blue Fabia vRS's from 3500ft. WHAT A SIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE SKODA!!!!!!

Had 2 octavia's and 3 fabia's so far.

This will be my forth fabia! it will be running alongside my 06 reg eleg TDI octy.

YEAH BABY YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also called two other dealers who claimed they could not source on..

food for thought....

200bhp diesel.. mmmm , I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard of one dealer offering discounts and one even asking over the RRP. I'f you've been offered a discount then you've been very lucky.

WTF?

Put down a deposit for one on Saturday, should be picking it up on Friday when my insurance comes through.

Can't wait.

Managed to get it for

I was one of the first on here to get one (according to the register)

The Skoda Website says 12,995 - but the dealer said 12,990

At the time of ordering (middle of February) they were so confident of selling all their allocation they weren't giving any discounts, and were even considering not doing trade-ins on them either.

I paid full price, and had to wait a month & a half to get it.

So if you're getting a discount and a short waiting time, I'm a teensy bit jealous, but then I have had 2 months of fun in the car already !

If there are discounts then its due simple to basic economics supply & demand & even more specifically the new model is out.

I don't want to go into specifics in case either the dealer hears and changes their mind or in case somebody goes in and swipes my deal but the discount is well into three figures. Therefore, it does seem a good offer.

They also said they would give me the 'book price' on my T reg Honda Civic 1.5ls VTEC which only has 59000 miles on the clock. However, that works out to

I managed a

Depends which "book" the dealer is reading from, but this is Glasses recommendation for its value:

Part-exchange Price:

Excellent condition:

Please everyone who ever part exchanges a car do not only look at the cost of the new car nor only the cost of the part exchange value you are offered what you need to do is look at the total upgrade cost.

If your selling private - please tell me why you would have to do something about the scratches & why youd have to service it? It is sold as seen - do not think you will get more if you have serviced it as when you deduct the cost of the service from what they will pay for it your going to be worse off by min the VAT amount.

From what you say its a bit rough on body work needs a cambelt & new brakes thats a fair amount of work. So really your getting Zero more or less discount off the vRS Ltd edition.

Bottom line is, if it's what you want and you are happy with the deal then why not go for it.

I wasn't suggesting that I would have the work done at all. I meant that I would be annoyed at having to deal with the timewasters who ignored the fact that I had priced the car to sell in 'sold as seen' condition and still tried to use its condition as a bargaining tool.

Part and parcel of the industry Im afraid

WTF?

ECU REMAP BY JABBASPORT, PD160 AIR INTAKE FROM SEAT IBIZA, DECAT AND S S EXHAUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normal ECU tuning gives 170 bhp, jabba sport tuning without decat and exhaust changed they claim around 190bhp, any extra help given on the air intake and exhaust should bring you to the 200bhp mark:D

Not quite ;) Go see Jabba's website a review the power graph attached. 200bhp is achieveable but with a little bit more work than above :D

I think if you want 200 horses you'll need to increase your budget slighty mate.

Thats fine, care to share....

I really want to enjoy this vRS, my last one sadly ended its life in dec 2004.

Been waiting since then to get a new one. any hints and tips are greatly appreciated. :-)

200bhp from a PD130 needs a big turbo, bigger intercooler, exhaust and a remap...

ah yes, jabba sport offered to install a pd160 turbo and uprated oil pipes for a small sum, about

Add to that a clutch, LSD and maybe a SM Flywheel.

You'll also be needing to sort the handling with a rear ARB, front strut brace. Some new shocks and springs and a nice little 312mm brake upgrade.
