First thing that popped into my head upon seeing that was remembering the late Dave Metcalf in the works Nova in the 80's dancing about the stages! Tried to find some pics, but couldn't find any. The giant killing acts he produced were amazing. Such a shame a great career was ended in a tragic road accident! :(

With the current US dollar rates to Uk pounds its very attractive (around 2k).

Event costs are not that high. Fuel wise what does it run on? The organisers will import MS103 (www.vpracingfuels.com) for you at reasonable prices (last eyar wasand on a highly tuned turbo car thats probably the way to go. I used a mixture of their unleaded (92 octane) and 100/130 leaded AVGAS to make my fuel to around 98 octane last year. Not sure on the costs for turbomax stuff but I paid 70p litre for the avgas plus their local fuel at around 50p/litre. Think turbo stuff was around

I suspect thats the one and only time I shall ever be 'compared' with Dave Metcalf. The guy was a true talent and a great loss.
