Please help! Put Petrol in Skoda Fabia Diesel!

I have heard of lorry drivers putting a small amount of petrol in deisel but it is small amount I am talking about 1/8th pint to a full tank of deisel. Sorry to hear about you putting wron g fuel in but I can understand why or if you husband is a little annoyed, and lets say steak and frilliies not work that far on me, or if it were my wife anyway

I've heard of this too... Russian Army uses Petrol in diesels just in case it gets so cold that the diesel begins to thicken. The lower ignition temp of the petrol makes them easier to start... but this is on huge truck engines.

In the end, given that the contents of the tank was about 50% petrol and 50% diesel, I just filled it up with diesel (which was just over 7 gallons) and it started up just fine.

It's done over 50 miles since with no running trouble. It sounds a little off, and performance is marginally off, but nothing like I'd expected. It was definately a better option than giving a dealer several hundred pounds for nothing.
