Had a one-off problem this weekend, I don't know if it needs looking into or not.

Between Salisbury and Bath on Friday, on A36, dry road, fine weather. I'm heading downhill and round a fairly tight left corner which the car nipped round very easily.

Then the ESP light came on and stayed on. Power dropped off to almost nothing in any gear, and there I am, now travelling uphill at about 15 mph with a line of traffic behind me.

I couldn't pull off the road for about half a mile, but then I got into a lay-by, turned off the ignition, turned it back on again and from then on no problem at all, nor coming home today.

Should this be checked out or do you think it was a one-off?

Get it checked out, what if it does that to you in the outside lane of the motorway?

It's most likely logged a fault as well.

I cleared a code for another owner a couple of weeks ago with similar symptoms. It'll not help you much but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

I would get it cleared off if I were you.

That's exactly what I thought! But it seemed to be the flick around the tight bend that did it, - maybe that was just coincidence.

Still, now I have Rivervale just up the street, it isn't such a headache to get warranty stuff done.
