got my pd160 intake,green cotton filter and strut brace on yesterday and tbh haven't really noticed any difference with the strut brace but it does look good,had to take the engine cover off tho as it vibrated a bit.With the intake and filter on i think i have noticed a small difference in mid range and it seems to hang on a bit longer at the top end,but i could be imagining it,next mod coilovers and rear arb plus that all important re map:D

Was it a SEAT Sport brace you put on? They are close but the engine cover shouldn't touch.

no i put a forge ally strut bace on,imho it looks better and it came up on here cheap with the intake.

Im putting mine on tomorrow, was it easy? I heard it rattles too, does it fit alrite if you take the engine cover off, i was going to do that anyway?

Ahh yes, that explains it. They were designed on the Ibiza IIRC and don't fit the Fabia very well.

it doesn,t actually fit you have to do a slight mod with the angle grinder to take part of the o/s mount off so it will fit flush with the top of the strut and clear the bonnet prop catch,but apart from that fitting was quite easy.

Why not get one that does fit then?? They aren't expensive from SEAT.

It also worries me that you find no differance, the SEAT one has to be one of the best mods on a Fabia up there with the Jabba ARB.

Wish i had now, got my Forge one off a friend cheap tho, and i liked the fact is was silver! hehe. Well il see how it goes.

ok after a bit more extensive testing i can report there is quite a bit of difference.The car feels a bit more stable,but this car is much more stable than the last vrs i had,tho i think it has something to do with the bridgestones as opposed to the crap continentals.the reason i bought this one is because it looks better and i got it cheap.
