Light assist strangeness.....

Featured Replies

Just spotted an odd thing with light assist.

The manual claims that it will only go into 'highway lighting' mode if you travel at 140km/h for more than 2 minutes. This sounds like a great idea, especially as I normally put my lights on when I'm on the motorway.

However, 140km/h is 87mph. That seems a bit fast for the UK default. Is this normal?

Can this speed be reduced?

Bagpuss.

The speed limit on the continent is generally 120km/h. The reason it comes on at 140km/h and above is to be more visible for other road users (including the police). If you got xenon, it is a bit like "get outa the way", I'm coming through.

There's also meant to be a feature which automatically puts on the hazards lights in you break sharply from more than 60mph down to near stationary.

Didn't work for me the otherday when I had to come to a sudden stop on a dual carriage way due to debris!

I'd like some of that
