front wheel spin

Featured Replies

Having had my vRS for a few months im gonna chuck my tuppence worth in.

Any Front wheel drive car (no matter how good ESP or suspension is) with 200BHP + will wheelspin in at least the first 2 gears if floored. Hence the reason Fords had to put in a torque limiter on the Focus ASBO to control the wheelspin at launch and that still doesnt work properly.

Their is only one way you can stop wheelspin on a front wheel drive car. That is to purchase a launch control system however your looking at around 3 grand plus for a system like this.

The best way is, as has already been mentioned above, to feather the throttle in 1st/2nd until you've got going.

Either that or rev it like hell let the wheels spin and eventually you'll melt the tyres so they become sticky and you'll set off:rofl:

ill now go and sit back in the corner and keep quiet
