Higher mileage Octavia VRS ??

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been away for some time but no car I have owned since parting with my beloved Octavia VRS has ever made me smile as much :D

So I am coming to the point where another one maybe on the cards !

I will be looking for a higher mileage VRS typically around the 70-100k mark and will be putting at least 20k a year on it for a year or 2. My question is does anyone have experience of higher mileage VRS's and how do they fair ? There must be some out there with 100k plus on them ?

Any feedback wlecome.

Thanks

Hi Ian,

Welcome back

I'm currently on 106k and do around 20-25k a year.

As long as servicing has been done at the correct intervals I see no problems.

Hi,

95,000 here no probs at all apart from squeaking arb bushes, although this is a very common problem even on low mileage octys.

90k fssh, 1 previous owner (my boss), spotless! No problems except wheel bearing & arb bushes.

Although I am missing my classic car days!

T o be honest i think the engines are bullet proof as long as you change the oil etc, they are good cars lads at work call mine a taxi, but they would dare put there cars up against mine apart from the lads whos got a skyline:)

Thanks for the responses. My Volvo goes like a train and is unbelievably comfortable and has all the toys ......................... but it still doesn't make me smile like my octy did. I think it comes from knowing that you have discovered a little gem that others have no knowledge of ;)

Maybe Skoda here we come again then !

no car I have owned since parting with my beloved Octavia VRS has ever made me smile as much :D

I know exactly how you feel! :(
