Featured Replies

Ok nooby question but my insurance company needs my engine number and my chassis number for my fabia vrs, i have looked for the sticker in the car but cant find it anywhere, i assume it's the same data in the service schedule book under vehicle data, i am guessing the VIN number is the chassis number ? but i am not sure what the engine number is, theres quite a few numbers and letters printed there, could someone help me out please :o

hi mate,

you can find these on your dvla form.

The sticker in the car is under the carpet in the boot.

Hey guys thanks but, i only bought the car 2 weeks ago and i dont have the log book yet, and i have looked for sticker under carpet in boot but it's not there must have peeled off and got lost :( the numbers i need are in the service book but i am not sure which one is the engine number ?

Many thanks MV

The engine number will start ASZ or BLT but they dont print the actual number on them. Best place for that is on the sticker on your cambelt cover.

hi,engine and chassis numbers can be found stamped onto metal plate , usually fixed in either the engine bay or under the carpet in the DRIVERS FOOTWELL...hope this helps.

Never seen that on a Skoda, certainly isnt any engine number on the body.
