My 1.8T was overfilled by about the same and I did a hundred miles or so before noticing.

The garage removed the excess and it does run exactly as before, except for a brief moment about a minute after each startup when its not as smooth as it used to.

Having searched this site I now suspect oil has got into the Secondary Air Pump and stopped it working properly.
