new sachs clutch, how many parts should it have?

Featured Replies

just looking at the sachs clutch, there is only 2 plates, is that right, isnt there normally 3 parts to a clutch, im missing the plate with the 4 springs on it, any explanations any1?

depends on what sort of clutch is it...

the conventional type will have a disc which has a kind of friction material on both sides..

the other is a cover plate with 'fingers' which extend out to the centre...

normally a clutch kit will include a thrust bearing too...

the clutch in a fabia vrs is the back to front type, where the pressure plate bolts to the crankshaft, the the friction disc goes on... the the flywheel goes over the top of that...
