Hello there.

When I picked up my octy estate i never noticed that it didnt have an aerial on the roof. its an ex police car so Im presuming that they removed the standard one to fit their multi function aerial.

Whats the best thing to replace it with? Standard base and mast, or should I look at one of these Shark Fin jobs on eBay? I did try the local halfords and the only real choice was 1980's Opel Manta type rubber aerial (I think not) or a really long one, which didnt look far off what the police probably had!

Any ideas on prices?

I should be OK fitting it, well, my brother in law owns a body shop so HE shoud be ok fitting it!!!

Cool, thanks for that, ill let you know. Does it have the base with it aswell? If so, did you replace yours? Im just wondering what the real options are...

Yes it has the base. I replaced mine with the GPS version when I installed my sat nav.

mines an ex cop car too. my aerial suffers from poor signal pickup. finding little bits n pieces missing from when the cops had it
