I quite fancy one 'cause they look pretty [black car with black rear plate, yes please] and the extra 30lb/ft across the rev range the plate will provide will be most welcome.

My question is: how much of a spanking from a boy-in-blue will I get for having one? Is it just a fine, or is it points?

I suppose it also depends on the mood of the officer but I think it's a slap on the wrist for the first time but I certainly would'nt want to keep 'em on permanently as you'd be asking for trouble!.

If the Skoda you own was registered before 1973, you'll be fine :thumbup:

Keeping normal ones in the boot may work, the first time, saying you forgot to change them over after a show. But if you get stopped once, take it as a lesson, and leave the standard ones on!!

Do think they look good though, especially on black cars. Just at shows, of course.

I had them on a dark green Escort mk1 a long time ago, they look so nice on dark cars especially if you get the numbers and letters pinstriped as well.

I've got a BRISKODA one in this style but I've not used them (yet). Obviously that would be show only ;)
