impressions on fabia 2 petrol 1.2 12v

Featured Replies

Hi to all,

excuse me but i haven't got photocameras with me, so only in week-end, i'll post (perhaps) some pict made by cell.

My new brik fabia is very wonderful,

i'll tell you about the engine. my previous car was peugeot 205 1.1 4 cyl (a incredible affordable machine:rolleyes:, rest in peace...:o),

son i was a bat worried for my new 3 cyl's engine.

at today i made about 350 km, both in city (milan and hinterland) and in autoroute, and i'm proud to tell you that:

it's a very cheap engine (at 90 kmh 4,9 litres for 100 km, as declared by skoda)

it isn't noisy, only under 2500 b/min it's a bit rough (a bit:thumbup:) and

it isn't often necessary to change gear :in 2 and 3 gear the engine succeed in growing the speed if you don't exaggerate with the air conditioned-

or (i suppose, i haven't charged my 300 litres of baggage car) if you aren't too loaded

the held of road is secure, the car is not too soft and not too hard, so

what can you waiting for?

buy it!!!

bye bye by nevskij

my dad has the same engine in his mk1 Fabia. He also loves it and for what it is, it is very nippy. Fuel is ok at 40mpg but to be fair he does thrash it abit so that does explain.

He does say (like you did) that it does pull very well in 4th gear and therefore down change is not needed to lower levels.

To be fair though " personally " i would not buy one and in fact i would not buy a mk2 fabia at all. It just aint for me at the price they sell them for.

I have test drove a new suzuki swift diesel. Great value, mega economy ( i got over 67 to the gallon) and superb value for what you get. worth a look
