Some of you may remember I reported a steering clunk on my 2003 vRS some time ago. Lots of people said they had similar clunks so I thought I would update now that mine is cured.

Skoda decided it was either the rack or the column, they were reasonably sure that it was the rack at fault but were not prepaired to say 100%. I was quoted just short of

Did the rack come with steering arms or just the centre section?

Just the centre section. I'm guessing you are trying to determine weather the fault was with the rack itself or the inner track rod ends? I asked this question but was assured it was the main rack.

I do try :D

Looks like mine could be the rack as well. Gonna try replacing the bush first though, then if that doesn't help will have to get the rack done.

what was the clunk was it when it urned the wheel or just when driving. I ask as i had a new rack put on mine from a car and now have a nocking on the front end?
