Hi all

I'm Steve, 24 from East Yorkshire.

Always been into cars (I blame my Dad as he was a mechanic and always had me in the garage mending and tuning cars!)

My current (and soon to be written off) car is/was a Proton Satria GTi that had been rather fettled to make 170hp at the wheels (not bad from a N/A 1.8!) especially with a kerb weight of 990kgs

My car is being written off because unfortunately I have just bought a house in a little village called Burstwick and my house has been really badly affected by the recent flooding (5ft water!!!!!!) and guess what!? The car was on the drive so its now a submarine :(

So I have been looking for something thats going to be my new bus to work etc and I have my eye on a Fabia vRS.

My Friend used to work for a Skoda dealer and let me out for a test drive in a vRS and I could't beleive how good it was!

It pulled in every gear and I was doind 3 figures before I knew it!

IMO the suspension wallows a bit much for my liking and the dip under breaking is a bit much for me but that can easily be rectified.

If anyone wants to point me in the direction of a good remap and suspension upgrades I would appreciate that ;)

Thats about it, thanks for reading my essay

Steve

Hi and welcome to Briskoda ....there's loads of people on here that will be able to tell you where to spend every last penny you earn

Jabba for the remap.

upgraded brakes.

suspension.

ARB's ...........the list is endless and I am pretty certain somewhere on this site someone will have already done it if you can think of it.......just try a search for Jabba or remap and see what comes up ;)

Welcome :wavey:

Dont forget about uprating the brakes to the Octy vRS ones, with decent pads.

Hello :)

Sorry to hear about your car.

Welcome :)

Thanks for the welcome folks

Is a simple pad upgrade enough for the vRS as I won't be doing trackdays etc in it!

That pleasure will be reserved for something a little more stripped out and track focused ;)

Welcome.

I think one of our site sponsors is from Yorks or at least Humberside, so you could source stuff like a RR remap that you can't do yourself fairly locally.

WRT the brake upgrade, the costs are new pads, new bigger discs, and new caliper brackets, so if you're prepared to spend a grand or so on mods anyway, why spoil the car for the sake of
