HI advice please, after respray of the tailgate, the garage stuck the octavia lettering on with what looks like a black sealant. 6 months later the letters started falling off, I re fixed them with double-sided tape, but 6 months later they are falling off again. any ideas what I should use?

Silicon bath sealant (white)

Silicon window frame sealant (brown)

Lead sealant (grey)

no more nails

super glue

epoxy glue

pva wood glue (getting desperate)

Double-sided tape again

Hot glue gun (i will have to buy one)

TBH for the price I would get some new badges. I got some outdoor fiking pads from Halfrauds they are quite good. Years ago I found some badge specific glue in the same place haven't seen it since though.

Double sided number plates pads are really sticky just make sure the area is spotlessy clean i.e. polish,wax,5hite etc

:iagree: - absolute cleanliness is the key to sticking badges on. Once you've cleaned the target area, do not touch either it or the sticky bits on the fixing method.

Good point. Id recommend an isopropyl clean of both surfaces also to get them spotless leaving no residue.
