Featured Replies

Hey peopple. I just had a crash on my octavia mkII. My rear bumper is all destroyed and i have ordered a new one ... but now that i'm thinking can i request or order for rear parking sensors too? please give me an answers as soon as possible

You can have the aftermarket accessories ones fitted yes, but cant see them offering a discount as you dont need to take the bumper off to do them anyhow.

no i just wanted to know can skoda dealer order for parking sensors and i'll pay for them.

I know what you meant, parking sensors dont come with a new rear bumper even if the car had them originally. Plus your missing all the other parts of the system like the control unit and wiring.

what about they order parking sensors not come with the bumper but as accessories and in the service here to fit the parking sensors into the car

Like I said in post #2 you mean?

That's an agreement you'd need to make with your dealer. I'm sure they will but they will probably want paying for it.

I had a similar case with my car, and asked the dealer to fit a new rear bumper and also the parking sensors. It did cost extra and did include a labour charge over and above fitting the new bumper since the sensors had to be wired in. Note that I don't have the Skoda radio/cd fitted in my car, so they fitted the internal warning unit (beeper and flashing light) just above the rear window, in line of sight of the rear-view mirror.

Get them installed whilst its being sorted. You might get charged a little more but if the car is in bits anyway it can only make it easier and cheaper to plumb in now.

By the way, you never said if your "crash" was a result of reversing into something ?!!:D

(sorry, couldn't resist..... I know your probably well pi55ed at having the knock)

How about an aftermarket kit that uses laser ;)

How about an aftermarket kit that uses laser ;)

Does it prevent damage to your car by blasting the obstruction to oblivion? ;)

dunno, but can be used for other things to ;)

Would it confuse a certain profession's "hairdrier" equipment? ;)

now that would be illegal!!

I thought that was garage door openers?

thats the one, shame some hair dryers work on the same frequency and then get jammed ;)
