Min and max wheel offsets possible on Fab vRS

Featured Replies

Anyone know what the min offset possible is on the vRS, without wheels sticking out past the arches?

Less important the information for max offset, but I'm just curious about the other end of the scale :)

The aftermarket wheels people seem to fit all tend to be around the ET32-38 range, just wondering how much less was feasible, say down to a 29 or even 25?? I know this won't matter for decreasing offset, but any said wheel would have to sit beyond a 312mm front brake setup :)

Cheers,

Steve

I run 7 and 7.5" on an et-25 offset, they fill the arches perfectly.

Great, cheers - that sounds good. With the wheels I'm looking at, I'll need to run 20 or 25mm spacers. Will this have an effect, do you think, on the longevity of components such as the wheel bearings, put extra pressure and stress on them etc?

Steve

I would think that any spacer will put small amounts of increased stress on bearings and ball joints, but on sayin that if a peugoet 306 can run a 20et offset then a fabia should be more than up to the job

Here's a useful little tool:-

Wheel Offset Calculator

Type in the original wheel dimensions & then the new ones, it will give you an idea of what difference you're looking at.

What's the width and offset of the std vRS wheel - are they 7 wide and ET38, or am I making that up?! :)

Steve

6.5 x 16 ET37
