Im joining the Skoda clan tomorrow when i pick up my new Fabia vrs and i just cant wait. Would never have said that 10 years ago, Skoda or diesel, how times change. All it took was one test drive of a vrs and i was hooked. Only problem is im not to keen on calling it a Furby though, will have to think of something else, maybe frisbee cause it flys. Anyway just thought id say hi and i really cant wait till tomorrow.

Could anyone tell me if its true that the engine needs run in for a few thousand miles?

The run in information is detailed in the handbook. Treat it gently for the first 500 miles and then gradually increase shouldn't do any harm.
