Its arrived, my Micro Can

Featured Replies

Arrived today from ross tech, now can someone explain to me how the software works or how you use it?

Also how do i activate/deactivate the alarm chirp/bleep? I know stu put this feature on on my car, but i couldnt remember how this was done. also is there a chirp for unsetting?

Is there also a way to set so the headlights come on when i unlock the car?

thanks in advance (this could be a long one) ;)

did that earlier, im still blank

Vag-Com is an extremely powerful tool and in the wrong hands you can wreak havoc but there are a number of 'safe' things you can do which if you trawl through Ross-Tech's excellent website there are lots of hints and tips.

My suggestion would be to take it easy and do not try anything unless you are confident in what you are doing (I'm only just happy in changing a few things with Vag-Com and I've had it for six months!).

Here's a guide that I compiled when I first got VAG-COM of things you can easily change.........

For the Fabia ;)

Some Octavia II stuff here -

Octavia-vRS.com - Octavia II Controller Coding

Also if you search I think there is a sticky that roo made with some info in it.

As Steve says - be very, very careful. Feck up a long coding and you could have problems. VAG-COM does store/log codes and the changes you make but I all ways take a screen shot too.

If you aren't in a rush then I'll give you some tips at the next meet - as long as you promise not to reverse into my car!!!
