I think the lower arms will be ok iirc when i got mine the guy said they are the smae as loads of cars eg golf beetle a3

Excellent thank you thats a big help.

Just got a set of new arms and top mounts for

I watched when i had the lower arms done and they were whipped out and back in about 15 mins a side no special tool other than a ball joint seperator afaik

HTH

I have got the top mounts just aint had them done i was told its just drop the strut out but i think he said something about a tool for undoing the sturt

No need to touch driveshafts, pretty straight forward. Also if your not renewing the ball joints no need for a seperator.

I stand corrected again i was along the right lines though

I was thinking of the task of splitting the arm from the balljoint bit with three bolts in

If you know what i mean lol

Im getting better

Great - shall i drop the strut from the turret to do the top mount without the wishbone in place - thinking - it'll go lower without for ease of changing the top mount?

Are the top mounts easy enough to change? No horrible castle nuts etc?

Anyone got a pic of where I could place axle stands too for doing this job?

In fact the strut is bolted to the hub / shaft assembly so i can just unbolt that to lower it down and change the top mount....?

Personally I dont even undo the hub, I compress the spring in place and rol the top mounting out.

On bottom arm try to tighten the wishbone nuts with the weight of the car on the wheels so as to not strain the bushes.
