My rear screenwash (and wiper for a short time) stopped working so i had the boot trim off to have a see what the issue was. I managed to get the boot trim off OK however i am having trouble getting it back on properly.

I have searched the forums and can see people say its a pain to get back on but no suggestions as to the best method to get it back on, could someone please tell me whats the best way to do it?? start at the top / bottom??

Give Bickerton Skoda at Sheffield a ring on 0114 270 1111 to have a word with one of their mechanics.

They have been very helpful to me in the past letting me speak to someone who knows the car I'm enquiring about and have not slagged me off for doing work which should be warranty!!!

Start from the top and ask somebody to help you by holding one side.

Pay atention to them 2 hooks from the trim who are going in the door.

I managed to fit my own in this way.

Possibly a little late now but Gaff sent me some pics he took when he had his one off.

I found pushing in the 2 clips at the bootlock first was easiest,

Then located the ones at the window. I didn't push them fully in.

Pushed in the other ones on the vertical part of the bootlid.

Then pushed the others home.

I actually found it a lot easier than Mk1, not that was a pain in the ****
