Rolled Fabia near where I work

Featured Replies

Another one gone....

Whilst reading the Exmouth Journal (car was in having alignment done at the time) I spotted a black fabia elegance on it's roof, and an article about it. Apparently it rolled (no clue as to why) on a straight bit of road, and the driver was unconcious hanging in the seatbelt. I think it probably clobbered a traffic island.... Anyway - when I get home I'll take a photo of the article - I nabbed the page out of the paper.

Sad thing is, I'm now really hoping it surfaces in a local scrapyard.... :o

Wonder if it was my old one? How ironic would that be - Jase getting his old Fabia Mk1 interior back from the scrappy!

I doubt it, but I think it was a similar spec. Here's the article on it. Sorry, but I can't be bothered to scan it, so just took a piccie. :D

Love the way people thoughtlessly go to the rescue

And I quote - "I asked another driver who stopped to turn off the ignition because I was worried it was going to burst into flames"

On a similar note, while in the Lakes recently I saw a picture in a shop window in Ambleside of a red fabia sat on a wall. The caption underneath the picture read: Kirkstone Pass December 2006. The reg number appears to be PG05 EBO.

Thats a forum members car IIRC - wonder if he knows its in a shop window!

One day someone will find a different way to crash a furby

Who does it belong to?

Not a Skoda, but to those who know the M25 around Leatherhead, there's a concrete deviding wall between carriageways. I've seen a car perfectly balance on it - and it's at least 4 or 5ft tall!

The question has to be, how the f.... did they do that?

I still can't figure out HTF you can put one on it's roof.

The only way I can think of is hard cornering and clipping the side of a wheel on something like a kerb etc to flip it up.

Someone managed it in an old Tigra outside our house a few months back. It's a 30 limit too - a bog standard road. Dunno how he did it but he ended up, belly in the air on the pavement. ****.

OK, how about a poll - how often have you rolled a fabia?? (didn't know they could be smoked tho' tbh...)

Are they easy cars to roll over?? Always thought that big SUV's with their high centre of gravity were worse....

- Worried that I'm gonna roll over on the way home from work tonite Bas

Saw a SEAT Ibiza roll while looking in my rear view mirror - I was sitting at a set of traffic lights. Very easy done, just clipped the kerb and over he went. Served him right...he didn't thank me after I let him into my lane less than five minutes earlier lol :-/

(He was uninjured)

Jason, is that the road that you go on to get to that famous bloke's golf course?

30mph straight?

No - It's the main A376 into Exmouth - just by the speed camera, on that downhill bit with the Exmouth written in flowers on the grass nearby... Maybe he was aiming for the camera? :D

Nope, wrong again! :D

It's the road that goes past the Marine Camp, goes into Exmouth past the BP at the top of the hill, then descends in past the speed camera on the left pointing into town - that's where it happened. You can see the taller houses set back from the road, and those creamy coloured walls on the right side of the road.

Gotcha!! LOL

Exmouth looks very much the same in a lot of places.
