different tyres

Featured Replies

hi who has a different make of tyre front to back as i have kleber hydraxer on the rear (nearly new),and nankang on the front(which are ****) ,only reason I'm asking is my fronts will be up for changing soon and i don't know what to replace em with, klebers (to match the rear )or something better or am i better off having the same tyre all round

In the past, especially on Company cars, I have had different brands front and rear. Didn't seem to adversly affect the road holding any more than variable wear on the same brand.

Im going for replacing all 4 and popping some Eagle F1s on. About

i can get the kleber for

P zeros i'd say less wheel hop i would imagine

I had different makes (Dunlop front and Michelin rear) when I got the car. Fitting same make all round didn't make much difference to the handling, but fitting Toyos all round gave me better ultimate grip, and turn-in.

I would say that different ones front to rear isn't a problem, just keep both fronts the same and both rears the same if you know what I mean, always replace in pairs!

t could be, if one end grips like used chewing gum on a carpet, and the other like concrete.
