:confused: During yesterday's deluge i experienced an 'amber oil warning light(steady) (02 Octavia 1.9 TDI...54K)unable to find a shelter to check the oil I continued to drive for 28 miles before lifting the bonnet to find water in the dipstick recess. On removing the water and subsequently the dipstick I found the oil level fine, replaced dipstick, ignition on, amber warning light extinguished. Happy chappy!....coincedence or problem solved? Any thought out there!

Not really able to help with your problem/coincidence but post it in the octavia support section and i am sure you will find the help you need.

The oil level light will be reset by opening and closing the bonnet :)
