Exhausts? Please Help

Featured Replies

Alright folks.

I've been lokking for some time for a good exhaust for my Octy RS. My dealership said i cannot fit a full system because there are a load of sensors etc in the 'Cat' which will balls up if i replace it.

Therefore i've been looking at custom backboxes which of course there are hundreds to choose from. Just wondering if anyone can help, any suggestions would be great. Oh and i'm not looking for one that will make my ears bleed inside the car.

Cheers

powerflow is fairly understated in the noise department but you can choose your own tailpipe if you want, which is what I did... ( mind you ColinD had better comment on nouse because my powerflow IS on a diesel.. haha  )

you can fit a full system

milltek

suspersprint

powerflow

come to mind...

there are various downpipes with /without cat or sport cats... so a search on here to find out more!

Don't forget Jetex

PM me and I'll give you the low down of the new Jabba sports dp/cat.

Or you can check out the Group Buy sections for details.

I'll also thrown in some info on the Milltek dp/cat and the various cat back options.

Cheers.

Adrian.

p.s your dealer is talking out of his a**e;)

Depends on whether you like noise or not.

If I was buying a new exhaust (which i'm not btw) I would probably get the Jabba sports dp/cat and a Blueflame or Powerflow cat-back system.

So you get max benefit from the dp and whatever backbox style/noise you like :)

Is no-one doing a cat/downpipe in one yet?

We've found these free up a few horses on the 1400 and 1600 16V engines really easy.

.....wonders......

Erik - supersprint, milltek and jabba all do dp with hi-flo cats. Superprint + Hayward & Scott offer decat solutions :)

Not knowing the 1.8 T as well as the 1400/1600 is there any reason anyone can think of why a manifold couldn't replace the dp too?

Just curious at present ;)
