Octy VRS performance?

Featured Replies

hey guy's

I currently own a felicia 1.6 laurin and klement.

However im looking for a new car and I want either the octy VRS or the Fab VRS

what are the specs for the octy?

and how does it perform?

thanks in advance!

0-60 On a mk1 octy vrs is 7.9 secs iirc

crappy white and black interiors looks quite good but is a pig to keep clean

crap stereo but then plenty of space for 6x9's on the back shelf (if that floats your boat)

About 30 mpg average using mixed roads 20mpg or less if your booting everywhere

A nice inconspicous (?) look doesn't draw much attention to you which i like (maybe you won't)

Handling is a bit sloppy but then it's more of a fast family car than full on racer but this can be sorted for a few quid(arb's and such) or coilovers (

Goes like stink for what it is!

Don't get the fabia - they're only for girls !............:sofahide:

And tight old grippers:sofahide: lol

Also worth looking at the 4x4 Octavia 1.8T.

Stick some KW's on in place of the standard suspension, remap it and you'll have a VRS killer that could still be cheaper to insure than a standard VRS

It has "propper" rear suspension geometry too.

Wolf in sheep's clothing.

(sorry OP can't help myself)

id be interested to see what insurance quotes you get as for me its not gonna be exactly cheap!
