Carbonio CAI Fitting

Featured Replies

Right, have just taken advantage of Awesome's very good deal today and taken the first steps into engine mods... thought this might be a good place to start as the price was quite resonable.

I will be fitting this myself and was wondering if anyone else has done this and how easy it is. I've done all the usual searches but can't find anything too detailled.

Is there anything I jneed to be careful of and is it fairly straight forawrd to do? I know you obviously have to remove the old airbox and the battery to get the thing in but is there anything else I need to know?

I've also noticed some people have the intake in the wheel arch to get a colder air flow. Is this easy to do? Does it mean cutting the arch liner etc?

Thanks

M

Hi Mike

Well done on the purchase ;)

You will love it

When putting it on , just be carefull not to tighten the carbon fibre part on to the air mass meter , dont overtighten it as this will cause the carbon fibre to split

But the instructions are quite good and in depth , but give us a shout if you have any problems

Have fun

Sarah

Thats Great... thank you... I'm looking forward to it all fitted! Shame I couldn't have stretched to a few more bits and pieces but I'm sure I'll get them eventually!

Mine is in the arch ;)

I guess if you remove the front wheel you will have more room to work but then I did not fit mine :D

I was watching it being fitted and they done it in less than half an hour(But they have fitted them before)

Here's a few pics from installing mine. I've taken it off and put it back since and the process is pretty straightforward.

Pimp My Skoda!

I have Xenon lights which are deeper than the standard ones, so make things very tight. I had to remove the headlight to get the filter to go in. When finished the filter is behind the front bumper below the headlight.
