Hi mate, I tried to change my side bulbs for LEDs yesterday and it didn't work. The bloody car thinks it's a failure and cuts of the power. (New Octavia VRS).

Hi, I decided that I really want LEDs in my side lights so I did the following today. I've replaced the bulbs with LEDS but wired the old bulbs to the back of the connector. Then I fastened to the inside of the light so they won't burn anything. So now my LEDs are on as well as the old bulbs, but you can't see the old bulbs from outside. I know it's not the best way to do it but it's possible and it works.

Hmmm, not liking that as a solution!!! :(

I tried to fit LED's but with no joy, now trying to get something else that's somewhat more a bluey/white colour.

Another way you can get around the problem is with one of these... clicky... :)

You'd have to get LED with resistor in standard fitment to not have any trouble
