Today i picked up my Red, 54 plate, vRS from the dealers, i forgot how much fun the Fabia is to drive.

i've not had a chance to take any pictures yet but it has certainly put a grin on my face

i'll follow this thread up with some pics once i get a chance.

i had to get a mate to upload these for me as my computer went on the blink.

also on taking these i ended up locked in the industrial estate for two hours as no one knew i was there until my attempt to leave was prevented by two gates that weren't closed on my arrival.

i put them on, on wednesday along with the plates. i want to keep the car fairly standard but it needed a little something to make it my own.

so far i think its great, just getting bits done to it at a time.

here's an update on how its looking, put the car into a bodyshop yesterday to get my door handles and front grill surround colour coded.

makes a big difference to the car but also decided the rub strips had to go as i wanted a cleaner look.

so with a little bit of heat and patience they came off easily.

left a few marks and was generally dirty behind where the strips had been so a quick clean with some tar and glue remover before polishing the bottom of the doors to clean them up properly left it looking like this.

Love the colour coding, esp the grille. But on red cars, I can't decide whether it's better having black strips/handles to give a nice constrast... :rubchin:

And glad the numberplate spacing from the first pics has corrected itself

i wasnt sure at first but decided i was going to do it anyway and prefer it all red now, was going to leave the rub strips on to break it up but they looked a little out of place with the red handles.

quite like the black skodamotorsport vinyls with the coloured Vrs symbol...where did ya get them from? and do they do a smaller size?!

I think the Skoda auto sticky thing would look well on mine..
