Hello to all.

I have today placed an order for a new Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 Tdi for September delivery. Specification of the car below:

Race Blue

Cruise Control

Rear Parking Sensors

Upgrade Pack (18" alloys, rear electric windows etc.)

I have also taken delivery of the below for my wife today:

Skoda Fabia vRS in yellow, 13K miles on clock 05 plate.

I haven't owned a Skoda for a year or two, but did have one of the previous Octavia 1.8T models chipped to 240bhp....

Its back to low cost motoring with Skoda for me! Looking forward to the torque monster in September.

Might I be so bold as to recommend you amend your order to include MaxiDot. So many owners are kicking themselves for not havng it now.

So you were not bold enough to have TWO yellow cars on the drive? Sensible.

Good move all round; you'll enjoy the tsunami of TDi torque I'm sure. Gives really relaxed performance, like a stealth bomber.

I'd also agree with Stu's recommendation to get the Maxidot - apart from being useful it looks good.

Have to agree about the Maxidot...

Should be a smashing motor though!

I'll give the stealer a quick call in the morning to see if its not too late to add the maxidot.... Depends if one exists in stock ready for delivery I guess.

After everyone's comments I've spoken to the stealer and have ammended the order accordingly. He's found a car in stock and the specification is:

vRS Blue

Maxi Dot

Parking Sensors front and rear

Cruise Control

18" Allows & the upgrade pack

Hopefully an early September delivery.

Smart move; well done.

Excellent spec - parking sensors are worth their weight in gold, particularly as the rear view is somewhat restrictive and you can't see the end of the bonnet either.

I'm sure you will enjoy it.
