Orange broadband anyone?

My broadband and mobile deals have come to an end (Madasafish & O2) so I'm looking around.

Orange offer a 2meg broadband package for free on most contract mobiles. I dont really need anything fatser than 2meg as I ahrdly use the web at home.

What I do need though is reliability - I need to know I can connect to the web when required for banking etc.

Not interested in the free laptop offer as that requires a 24 month contract, its an Acer laptop, and I dont need another computer at home.

Currently broadband costs me

I'm on Orange, and its been a faultless service. The Livebox is excellent with the free call package.

What is a LiveBox ?

Its the modem/router/wireless hub. Quite a nice bit of kit, allows you to plug a normal phone handset into it giving you a permanant second line which depending on package can be unlimited free minutes. This has slashed our home phone bill! :)

Nope, both ways. You get a second telephone number. Its effectively a second line! :thumbup:

The phone line can sometimes be a little bit poor quality, but perfectly usable! :)

Oh now that sounds very good - just a shame you still have to pay BT line rental to get the broadband in the first place :(

I've had Orange broadband since the days it was Wanadoo, no problems with reliability for me.

I just signed up to orange BB through currys, 19.99 a month, 9.99 for the first 3 months and

i have orange BB to with my mobile contract, so nice and free. No real problems to date.

Oh! and i get 8 Meg speed as i was a wanadoo customer previously, 2GB capped though.

The Live box is a bugga to connect to older Wi fi devices, but thats easily sorted turning off the WPA security and only using the WEP security.

Wish we had the chance to go with orange ...or anyother deal really .....our local exchange hasn't been unbundled yet :mad:

When I phoned my current ISP for a MAC code, they did point out that orange were recently rated the worst ISP. But for
