Is it legal (and possible) to change a speedo binnacle to read mph? (I have a european model and must convert it). Or do you have to replace the speedo (and dash panel I guess).

i would imagine you would need to change the entire binnacle to a UK one but youd need to be able to set the milleage to be the same (assuming you want to do that). contact a vehicle importer and see what they reccomend doing.

kph speedo still the same just mph/kph are the wrong way round on dial imoa:thumbup:

and you will be able to change your digital display from kph to mph without spending money diy

The kph speedo and mph speedo are not the same. The mph unit is linear and moves up in 20mph increments. The kph unit is non-linear - the first half goes up in 20 kph increments, then it switches to 30 kph increments (but the same spacing).

I believe you have to re-program the dash with something more advanced than VAG-COM to get it back to linear mode, then swap the foils. I'm planning on doing that to my kph dash, at some point, maybe.
