how far you can drive once the fuel light comes up (driving conservatively)... i havent filled up yet, and ive done 20 ish miles... but i was just wondering in case i got caught out in the future

The light tends to come on with 60 indicated miles left on my fabia rs

Can manage more and have done over 100 but dont like to risk it!

I think the light comes on with a gallon remaining so 20 miles shouldn't be a problem, but I tend to try not to risk these things as the gauges aren't always accurate!

its about 70 miles to go a mine before the light and ding noise , driven it right down to zero miles before filling up

I've done over 20 miles with it on 0 - was forced to by lack of planning, and lack of filling stations along a certain French motorway.... So, from it buzzing, I would say you have at least 80 miles until it actually runs out.

Mine indicates about 70 miles left, but how it decreases depends on my driving style. I think I've got it down to about 15 indicated miles before chickening out and heading for the fuel station.

it comes on when there's 5 litres left on mine, which is more or less 1 gallon:D

gives me about 30 miles in my 2.0

When the comp says zero miles left there's about 3 litres remaining in the tank.

You've gotta be doing something seriously wrong to actually run out!

When the range computations of the trip computer are wildly out (i.e. 17-22%) on the '56 vRS and the range is zero I have 1.5 ltres left or about 20 miles.

My '04 PD100 Fabia used to have at least 70 miles+ left when at zero.

So don't push your luck to far...
