How do you remove Symphony Unit?

Featured Replies

Sorry for the dumb questions, I take it I need two? keys poked into the two slots? Where's the best place to get them from? and lastly after removing the radio is it easy to remove the 'cubby hole' underneath it?

Get a junior hacksaw blade.

Snap it in half.

Insert each halve into the slots

Pull via the cassette slot.

My unit does not have a cassette, it controls the 6 CD changer under the seat. Do you recon it will be similar?

If it has the slots each side then the catches will be the same - you just need a way to pull once they're released.

Easiest way is to remove one or two of the blank buttons and then that'll give you something to pull against.

Remove the blanks down the side if you can as some, but not all are in there quite tight

The proper euro keys are available from such as halfords.

Anything flat will do tho, remember to push them in at the top of the slits.

the cubby will pull out once you have removed headunit.

As far as i am aware you cant put the new "quadlock" into a car with "iso connectors as the new ones use the canbus system to operate the navi functions

you will also need to make up a wiring harness to convert from iso to quadlock, never been done.

Good luck ;)
