2004 Octavia Vrs, very low mileage, regularly serviced, unmodified.

Has recently developed a new under-bonnet sound when starting from cold. It's almost as if the exhaust manifold is blowing slightly. Lasts about a minute. Ends with a slight hiss when the Emu cuts the engine revs to normal idle speed.

No dashboard warning lights and in all other ways she appears to be running perfectly normally.

Ideas gratefully received.
