Shortly after buying my Octavia I discovered that the spare wheel in the boot was not from a Skoda but from a BMW and as such, completely useless to me. Although I did check to see if there was a spare wheel when I was buying the car, the one thing I didn't even think to check was that it was actually for a Skoda because you don't normally need to do that. Needless to say, when I contacted the trader I bought it from they basically said that the car came with that wheel when they bought it and that it wasn't their problem any more as it was 'sold-as-seen'. Nice... :mad:

Anyway, trawling through eBay yesterday I found an auction for a brand new spare wheel from a 2004 Octavia complete with brand new 195/65R15 Dunlop sport tyre - completely unused. Surprisingly, I was the only bidder and won it this morning for the pricely sum of

And you could probably get the money back from shifting the BMW wheel too ! :)

We had a similar find with our dog guard for the fabias..... Offical Skoda dog guard.... should have been around
