Lowering Fabia Vrs Eibach

Featured Replies

Hi just wondering if there is any special tools required to fit the 25mm lowering kit to my fabia Vrs?

I have lowered previous cars in the past, so ive got a basic idea but none as new as my Vrs.

Also has anyone encountered any problems whilst fitting the springs?

cheers

ashley

Spring compressors are essential and the job will be easier with a hub spreading tool although you can do without it.

The only problem I had when fitting the eibachs to my fabia was the weather although that couldn't be helped and my fabia isn't a VRS!

Have a look ->here<- for more/better advice!

I would sincerely recomend the hub spreader - worth it's weight in gold.

You'll also need the large splined tool.

The hardest problem is that if you leave the driveshaft connected you need to slightly compress the OEM spring whilst it's on the car to be able to get ithe strut out.

Who me???? :P

If I paid someone to lower my suspension on Eibach springs (Fabia 1.4 16V), how much should I expect to pay for labour?

I would say that in reality you would be looking at a 2 hour job as a minimum, so if you calculate workshop hours, and TBH i'm not sure what the hourly rate + mafia tax to be, but i would say at least

I paid 100 to get mine lowered on eibach springs at Jabba sport but no eheel allignment, it is

Definitely worth paying for 4 wheel alignment after getting it lowered otherwise you might end up forking out for some new tyres after a few thousand miles. With the right tools, a garage should be able to do them in under 2 hours :D
