Having just sold my previous car privately, I'm looking to get a new Octavia VRS ordered in the next few days - and hopefully take advantage of the free VRS upgrades at the moment.

However, they don't seem able to find the spec I want without placing a factory order, which apparently means I'll miss out on the free specification upgrade.

So, you'll probably see a few posts from me over the next few days asking basic questions - I'll try and use the search facility first tho!

I'm looking for the following spec:

• Petrol
  
• Race Blue (or possibly Black)
  
• Maxidot
  
• Cruise Control
  
• Rear Parking Sensors
  
• Auto Dimming Rear view mirror with rain sensor
  
• Xenon's

I was thinking about built-in Satnav - but reading through a few posts on here it seems you can pick up the unit from eBay much cheaper and it's an easy swap. Am I right in thinking that?

I've been quite disappointed with a couple of the local dealers, so if anyone can recommend one I'd be interested to know.

Although now I've sold my car I'm tempted to place an order with drivethedeal.com if I can find out what my options are!

Yes the Nav is much much cheaper to get hold of yourself. The guide for installing, if you've not seen it is on my Octavia website.

Nice spec there - Looks like you've got pretty much everything covered. Obviously you'll be also wanting the Jumbo, Rear Leccy Windows and the Dual Zone.

It'll be an excellent spec if I can actually get hold of it, or get a straight answer from my local dealer as to what exactly is available :confused:
