New Bilstein struts & Eibach pro-kit on Octavia II

Featured Replies

Guys am planning to fix a Eibach pro-kit and the Bilstein Sport struts on the new Octavia II. Is there anything I need to watch out for?

Read on here about cutting the stops? Is that required for the Octavia II

Rgds

Be careful removing the droplinks as they have a splined centre which you'll probably need to hold when undoing them.

The hub spreading tool is very useful.

The top mounts are directional and marked with an arrow in the direction of travel.

Have you though of using Koni's FSD shocks (instead of the Bilsteins)?

They give great sporty handling but keep the ride soft & compliant on bumpy roads, of which we have more than we should have in UK!

I put the Eibach pro kit on my O2 and kept the original suspensions and i can say that i'm really satisfied...

I presently have the Koni FSD but i could not fit the Eibach pro kit with them. The rebound was not right at all so I had to have the OE springs back. I use the Eibach pro kit with Koni sport on another car and they are fantastic so thought of this upgrade. Always liked the Bilstein Sport and thought this was an awesome combination.

thanks a lot for your revert. Just wondering whether any of this had to do with the rebound being wrong when we fixed the Pro kit earlier.
