Hi all, whats the best diesel for the Fabia VRS? any thoughts?

You'll find that almost every owner has a different opinion on this! My advice would be to try the lot and stick with the one you like the best. I did this and stick with bog standard Tesco city diesel, occassionally spiced up with a drop of Millers Power Sport 4

i wudnt use supermarket stuff, my mrs dad works for shell and supermarkets dont contain certain stuff that help the car run better (dont no anything about it myself) but i use shell or BP ultimate, but as long as ur not using veg oil i think ur ok!

I use Total Excellium..... Seems as good as BP Ultimate, but it's cheaper where I live.

The car (Fab vRS) seems smoother on either of the above 2 Vs Sainsbury's with or without any millers added to the supermarket stuff.....

Also get slighty better mpg out of the premium diesel.

I use shell v-power diesel as its 4p a ltr cheaper than bp ultimate and seem to get a few more miles than other brands.

Superb 1.9 TDI, but I've been running her on Shell Diesel Extra for the past ten months. Excellent results and the same price as normal diesel

VPOWER here, a few pence more but you get a few mpg more too

If i have a choice i go with the ordinary shell diesel as i do notice a difference compared to supermarket brands.

I'm on my 2nd tank of regular Shell diesel and I'm 8mpg down on my usual tank average with Tesco city diesel :eek:

I get similar if I use "proper" fuel stations. Tesco cheap stuff, or Sainsburys - With liberal use of Millers Sport 4. Top notch,
