Back Hatch Open Alert

Featured Replies

Had a little incident the other day, when I left the back hatch open on my Octavia II estate. Eventually noticed with the help of friendly 'waving' locals, and also thinking the A/C fan was a bit over effective! (I know this is a stupid error, but baby sleep deprivation is a wierd thing).

The question is - Maxidot has graphics for the doors being open, and provides a warning tone if you drive above a certain speed.

Does anyone know if this should happen with the back hatch too?. If not, why not?

Thanks

I know on my hatch back it shows up as the rear is white on maxidot, but there is no beeping as far as i know.

Ditto, mine shows up as the boot going "white" on the maxidot, as does the bonnet when that is open. No beeps either I don't think, not even for the normal doors as I discovered when I drove off with one only closed on the first latch.

Also....one of my rear light has gone out, and no warning on maxidot. Is this normal? I thought it checked the voltage to say when a bulb was out. Or is this only on headlamps?

Mine beeps when the boot is first opened with the ignition on, and also displays the boot in white on the maxidot display.

If the boot is left ajar before the ignition is turned on, there is no beep but the maxidot still shows the boot in white.
