As I'm planning to eventually run my VRS on coilovers I will obviously need a sump guard, does anyone manufacture one for the Fabia VRS? Demon Tweeks list one for the Ibiza (02-) does anyone know if that would that fit? :confused:

Nope - Ibiza one won't fit, different mount points. Been there, tried that

AFAIK, there's only been one run of custom made guards for the vRS. So the only option is to try and track one of those down, if someone's selling up. Not easy.

Unless you can sort something out with a manufacturer/steel fabricator, and I know there'd be a bit of interest in them.

Myself and a mate were looking at making one, we have found the pics of the on the group buy thread that was on here (can be found in a search). Thought about using Steel for the suport bar as he could weld that and use Alu for the bash bit.

I'm convinced there would be a high demand for these, does anyone know which company did the original group buy? Or could someone like Forge be persuaded to produce some - pretty sure they would sell quite a few.

Mine had to be modified to fit the Forge FMIC - it is likely it will be coming off in the near future due to what's going on with my car, if it is possible & useful it can be measured up and will see what happens after that.

The problem is the original was done at high initial cost and another GB never materialised :(

Another few things that need to be changed IMHO are the way the thing is fitted - it is not IMHO secure enough and when I refit it, some welding will be done to improve on that. Will try to take pics as repairs progress, but this will be September onwards unless work starts without me being there..

We supply and fit sump guards to all police ocy2's at the mo, and i think it lists it for Fabia too...(genuine parts by the way)

Yeah no probs ill see what i can do, no promises though, as im not 100% they do them!

Im sure a czech manufacturer might do them as they have the Fabia Cup over there for the 1400 16v rally cars...

Ill look into that way too, as i have a contact in CZ...

Hmm, dont seen to list one from factory like the Ocy 2's.

Getting one from CZ might also prove costly, so i think skudmissile's idea is about right.

Once my car is safely recovered, the sump guard can probably be removed with relative ease and then we can measure it up

I have one from the last GB that is not attached to me car. If it helps for pictures etc.
