n75 valve

Featured Replies

i ve just bought a new n75j valve for my octavia vrs can someone tell me of any problems i may encounter during the installation of it and also where abouts under the bonnet i ll find it.

its in the intake hose just after the MAF, easy to fit, takes a few mins.

its under the inlet manifold, near the dipstick, its quite tricky to get to.

make a note of what pipes go where.

hope it all goes smoothly.

I think youre talking about the wrong area?

Yeah the N75 isnt under the inlet manifold, thats N249 which operates the DV.

Hiya Mally:thumbup:

How come you have got the N75 J, the standard valve is the N75 F?

If your car has been re-mapped (which I suspect it has judging by the 230 in your signature:thumbup: ) with the 'F' valve on (standard N75), changing it to the 'J' will cause problems and very spikey boost which will be cut back by the ECU all the time.

Just a thought.

this is the correct answer :)

J will allow the boost to build quicker and you will hit the boost limit quicker (you will get a pulsing of the boost). Worked fine on mine on top of a remap but made the engine run like a dawg when mapped with it.

Make sure you don't fit it round the wrong way....you will hit the boost limiter and put the engine into limp mode. ;)

Easy to fit....just fit like for like as per original. IIRC the J is off an Audi S2 so it doesn't look exactly the same....still has 3 connections..just fit the right way round.
