Coolant warning light + buzzer

Featured Replies

Last night, after being parked for 3 days,a few seconds after starting my 04 vRS,the warning buzzer sounded and light flashed.

Straight away I checked the coolant level-fine.

Then checked the fuses on top of the battery - fine.

Is this a common fault?

Last night was not the first time it's happened, and each time it's cleared up all of it's own accord.

Happened to me the other night and cleared up on its own accord hmm strange

Hi

Expansion tank I think you will find

There is a sensor in there it thinks the level is low

Clean up contacts , if it dont go , you may need a new expansion tank

Sarah

Which is a DIY job, as long as you get a bit of the appropriate fluid to top it up ;)
