Does the vRS standard clutch fit a TDI pd100?

Featured Replies

Yay or nay?! Need to know soon please. ;)

nope.

no , smaller diameter on the PD100 , 228mm as opposed to 240mm iirc

I guess that means an ibiza pd160 clutch also wont go on a vRS then??

its down to 5 speed Vs 6 speed i believe as both diesel and petrol cars with the same gearbox have the same clutch :)

its got the same 6 speed gearbox , so its probably the same size clutch and flywheel , maybe its got a stronger cover plate

i've got a Ford Galaxy clutch in the shed , its almost the same part number bar one letter , been unable, up to now, to find out what the difference is between it and the VRS unit , they are the same size etc , probably a stronger cover plate due to the extra weight in the Galaxy
